Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through prototyping and production
- Develop and optimize complex mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to ensure system integration
- Document technical specifications and prepare detailed engineering documentation
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques to enhance system performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong background in FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of leading complex mechanical projects from concept to production
- Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
- Strong communication abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders
