Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production implementation
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations for structural optimization
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to maintain quality standards
- Develop test protocols and validate prototypes under real-world conditions
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques for performance enhancement
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and contribute to patent applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CAD/CAM software
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM principles
- Proven track record in project leadership from concept to production
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic troubleshooting approach
