Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of innovative mechanical systems and components from concept through production.
- Perform complex FEA, CFD, and other analytical simulations to validate designs and predict performance under various conditions.
- Develop detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and BOMs ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs, identifying and resolving engineering issues promptly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration and manufacturability.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Evaluate and recommend new materials, processes, and technologies to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in a high-tech or R&D environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360) and advanced simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL).
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles, material science, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Proven track record of taking complex mechanical designs from concept to successful production launch.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a data-driven approach to engineering challenges.
- Ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
