Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical systems and robotic assemblies.
- Perform rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure structural integrity and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electrical, and manufacturing engineers.
- Oversee rapid prototyping and iterate designs based on performance testing data.
- Manage technical documentation, BOMs, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct comprehensive design reviews.
- Identify opportunities for design cost-reduction without compromising system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product design, specifically in robotics or precision machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or NX preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding, Additive Manufacturing).
- Proven track record of managing full-cycle product design projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is considered a significant asset.
