Responsibilities
- Design and develop intricate mechanical systems for high-speed robotic platforms.
- Conduct detailed FEA and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and firmware engineers, to achieve seamless system integration.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Manage the transition of new designs from R&D into full-scale manufacturing environments.
- Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and supply chain availability.
- Document engineering processes and maintain compliance with industry safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product design, specifically in robotics, automotive, or heavy machinery.
- Expertise in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks or NX).
- Proven proficiency in GD&T and mechanical tolerancing.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing.
- Experience with motion control systems and high-precision gearboxes.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
