Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical system design and validation for next-gen vehicles using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Optimize thermal management and structural integrity through FEA simulation and physical testing
- Develop manufacturing processes for high-volume production with 6 Sigma quality standards
- Collaborate with robotics and AI teams to integrate autonomous mechanical systems
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through DFM (Design for Manufacturing) methodologies
- Present technical solutions to executive stakeholders and industry partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant industry experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in automotive/aerospace product development from prototype to mass production
- Strong knowledge of materials science, fluid dynamics, and mechatronics systems
- Certification in GD&T and experience with APQP processes
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional engineering projects
- Active PE license preferred
