Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Analyze and validate product performance through FEA simulations and physical testing
- Develop detailed technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate mechatronic systems
- Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Stay current with emerging materials and manufacturing technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC)
- Proven track record in automotive or heavy machinery projects
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
