Responsibilities
- Lead design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems for aerospace applications
- Analyze and optimize performance using FEA/CFD simulations and physical validation
- Develop detailed engineering documentation, including CAD models and technical specifications
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ISO)
- Collaborate with suppliers to source cost-effective, high-performance components
- Identify and resolve complex mechanical challenges through root cause analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and/or similar engineering software
- Expertise in materials science and manufacturing processes (e.g., composites, CNC)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in failure mode analysis
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
