Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components using advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
- Conduct rigorous stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate design integrity.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration.
- Oversee the prototyping process, manage rapid prototyping techniques, and conduct physical testing to refine product performance.
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation, including BOMs, tolerancing charts, and assembly instructions.
- Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction without compromising quality or safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proven proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, or PTC Creo) and FEA simulation software.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
