Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex industrial machinery and automated systems.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate design integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to integrate mechanical components into full systems.
- Manage the prototyping and testing phases, including material selection, manufacturing process planning, and quality assurance.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design challenges and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably within the automation or manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Strong understanding of FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and GD&T standards.
- Experience with manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, metal fabrication).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment.
