Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Perform advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate product performance and durability.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless transition from prototype to mass production.
- Oversee the fabrication and testing of prototypes, documenting results and iterating designs based on empirical data.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices and engineering standards.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly manuals for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automation or robotics industry.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of optimizing mechanical systems for cost and performance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
