Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for aerospace propulsion components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Execute FEA/CFD simulations for stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics optimization
- Develop robust testing protocols and validate prototypes in specialized aerospace labs
- Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams on mechanical design best practices
- Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for precision aerospace components
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material specifications and quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5+ years aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in designing high-stress, high-temperature aerospace components
- Certification in ASME Y14.5 GD&T and familiarity with AS9100 standards
- Strong background in composite material selection and manufacturing processes
- Experience with wind tunnel testing and propulsion system integration
- Ability to obtain US DoD security clearance (citizenship required)
