Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of aerospace mechanical systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and fluid dynamics optimization
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation and manufacturing specifications
- Collaborate with materials scientists on composite material applications
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical guidance
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into engineering solutions
- Ensure compliance with ASME and FAA aerospace standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CATIA V5
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM principles
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience with composite material integration
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
