Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical product development lifecycle from concept to production
- Perform advanced FEA/CFD simulations and validate designs through prototyping
- Optimize component designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews with cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and test plans
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (AS9100, MIL-STD)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Demonstrated experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
