Responsibilities
- Lead the full product development lifecycle, from conceptual design to manufacturing and testing, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Perform advanced mechanical design, analysis (FEA, CFD), and simulation to validate product performance and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and procedures for new and existing mechanical systems.
- Manage external vendors and suppliers, ensuring quality components and timely delivery for prototypes and production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and innovation.
- Present design concepts, project status, and technical findings to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and confidence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in high-tech or advanced manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, PTC Creo, AutoCAD) and proficiency in FEA/CFD simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining, additive manufacturing), and GD&T.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, manage timelines, and deliver innovative solutions under pressure.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
