Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of complex mechanical systems for electric vehicles
- Conduct FEA simulations and stress analysis using ANSYS/Abaqus
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost-effective production
- Develop test protocols and validate component performance
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Collaborate with suppliers on component integration
- Stay current with industry standards (SAE, ISO) and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Experience with thermal/fluid simulation (ANSYS Fluent)
- Knowledge of composite materials and lightweighting
- Strong project management skills using Agile methodologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with CAD/CAM integration and CNC processes
