We are seeking a visionary Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our elite engineering team in Austin, TX. Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Creo.
- Perform advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to predict product behavior under stress.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers to integrate mechanical systems.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs, GD&T drawings, and test reports.
- Oversee the prototyping and testing phases, including 3D printing and CNC machining.
- Identify potential design flaws early in the development cycle to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to uphold our high standards of excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Pro/E).
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Experience with rapid prototyping technologies and materials selection.
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept to production launch.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation.
