Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept to mass production
- Optimize thermal/fluid systems using CFD simulations and DOE methodologies
- Drive material selection and validation for high-stress environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical/electrical systems
- Develop rapid prototypes using additive manufacturing and traditional fabrication
- Implement DFMEA and DFM principles for manufacturability
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and knowledge sharing
- Secure IP protection for novel mechanical innovations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS/PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in mechanical design with automotive/aerospace focus
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Certified in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance analysis
- Proven track record with DFMEA/DFM methodologies
- Strong Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing background
- Active PE license or equivalent professional certification
- Experience with composite materials and lightweight design
