Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept through prototyping and production
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis using ANSYS and SolidWorks Simulation
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system designs
- Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement solutions
- Optimize designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability
- Mentor junior engineers and document technical processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS Suite
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME standards, and DFMEA
- Experience with rapid prototyping and material selection
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC, sheet metal)
- Proven project management skills using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
