Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of complex mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to create functional models and validate designs
- Develop manufacturing processes and documentation for production readiness
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on projects
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ISO) and safety regulations
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and drive design improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
