Responsibilities
- Lead design, prototyping, and testing of automotive components using CAD/CAM tools
- Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction
- Analyze thermal/fluid dynamics and structural performance via FEA/CFD simulations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Develop detailed documentation and compliance reports
- Interface with suppliers and vendors for component sourcing
- Drive continuous improvement in product lifecycle management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME standards, and DFMEA
- Experience with rapid prototyping and material selection
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
- Valid US driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
