Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product design lifecycle from concept to production using CAD/CAM tools
- Conduct advanced FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop innovative solutions for complex mechanical systems in automotive/aerospace sectors
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining strict adherence to ISO 9001 and ASME standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electronics/software
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost reduction and quality improvement
- Stay current with emerging technologies like additive manufacturing and smart materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS/PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive mechanical design experience in industrial/manufacturing
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record of leading successful product launches from prototype to mass production
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM principles
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to root cause analysis
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
