Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and validation of thermal management systems for EV powertrains
- Develop CAD models and perform FEA/CFD simulations using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Collaborate with prototyping labs to build and test mechanical assemblies under real-world conditions
- Optimize component designs for manufacturability and cost-efficiency
- Generate detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive powertrain or EV systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and tolerance analysis tools
- Strong understanding of thermal dynamics and heat transfer principles
- Proven track record of bringing mechanical designs from concept to production
- Experience with DFMEA and APQP processes in automotive manufacturing
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility required
