Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design and prototyping of automated systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to optimize product performance and durability
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and test protocols
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system architectures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing processes and quality control
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for compliance with industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo) and simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in designing mechanical systems for industrial automation
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFMA principles, and ISO 9001 standards
- Experience with material selection and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced R&D environments
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
