Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and CATIA for automotive components
- Develop and validate prototypes through FEA/CFD analysis using ANSYS and Abaqus
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and software solutions
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost-effective production and quality assurance
- Drive innovation in material selection and lightweighting technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive mechanical design and development
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, and APQP processes
- Experience with additive manufacturing and composite materials
- Proven project leadership with complex system integration
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
