Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical systems and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Conduct advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate product integrity under various operating conditions.
- Oversee the prototyping process, managing relationships with external vendors and internal fabrication teams to ensure rapid iteration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, create technical specifications, and ensure manufacturability.
- Perform detailed stress analysis and fatigue testing to ensure compliance with industry safety standards (e.g., ISO, SAE).
- Document all engineering processes, maintain version control for CAD files, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive or heavy machinery industry.
- Expert proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Strong experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and GD&T standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
- Experience with Six Sigma or PMP certification is a plus.
