Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical systems and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate product integrity under various operating conditions.
  • Oversee the prototyping process, managing relationships with external vendors and internal fabrication teams to ensure rapid iteration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, create technical specifications, and ensure manufacturability.
  • Perform detailed stress analysis and fatigue testing to ensure compliance with industry safety standards (e.g., ISO, SAE).
  • Document all engineering processes, maintain version control for CAD files, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive or heavy machinery industry.
  • Expert proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
  • Strong experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and GD&T standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or PMP certification is a plus.
