Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and development of complex industrial machinery and automated systems.
- Conduct advanced stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and dynamic simulations to validate product durability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Software, Manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Oversee the prototyping process, including material selection, CNC machining, and 3D printing validation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering standards.
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) for structural and thermal analysis.
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept through to mass production.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
