Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to prototyping and production
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA for aerospace components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) for system integration
- Create detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T, and test procedures
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks/CATIA with advanced surfacing capabilities
- Strong background in materials science and manufacturing processes (machining, composites)
- Certification in ANSYS or similar FEA/CFD software
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects from concept to production
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
