Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation for performance optimization
- Develop detailed technical specifications and documentation for manufacturing
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate new concepts
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with ISO and ASME standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal)
- Proven track record in project management and cross-functional leadership
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis principles
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
