Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and stress testing to ensure structural integrity and performance
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for cost-effective production
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate new mechanical systems
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including engineering drawings and specifications
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet deadlines
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, or similar)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with automotive or heavy machinery systems
- Proven project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
