Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex products and systems from concept through to production.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 2D and 3D models and technical drawings.
- Conduct thorough stress analysis, material selection, and simulation testing (FEA) to ensure product durability and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing staff to optimize designs for manufacturability.
- Oversee prototype fabrication and manage the testing/validation process to meet strict industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during the design review process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and fluid dynamics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
