Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design lifecycle from concept through prototyping to production
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis and optimize product performance
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation including CAD models and BOMs
- Collaborate with electrical/software teams on integrated system designs
- Implement DFM/DFA principles for cost-effective manufacturing
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing product lines
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in product development and mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional engineering projects
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
