Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for aerospace components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate designs
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and reduce costs
- Develop detailed technical documentation including CAD models, schematics, and test protocols
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing product lines through root cause analysis
- Manage project timelines and resources while ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and participate in cross-functional design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and/or CATIA with complex assembly modeling
- Strong background in FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience with materials selection and manufacturing processes (machining, composites)
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and aerospace regulatory requirements
- Proven project management skills with ability to deliver complex projects on schedule
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical documentation
