Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using CAD tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for structural validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with avionics and software
- Develop technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, weight reduction, and cost efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in FEA or thermal analysis (e.g., ASME BPVC)
- Demonstrated experience with DO-160 environmental standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
