In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead Design Initiatives: Spearhead the mechanical design and development of new products from concept through to mass production, utilizing CAD software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Prototyping & Testing: Develop detailed prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate performance, durability, and safety standards.
- Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot complex engineering challenges, implementing innovative solutions to improve system efficiency.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with industry standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM) and relevant safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design interns.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing or automotive industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GD&T, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and materials science.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficient in project management software such as Jira or MS Project.
