Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, from concept to production validation
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to optimize product performance
- Develop comprehensive test plans and execute validation procedures for mechanical assemblies and components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes and product reliability
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to maintain design excellence
- Interface with suppliers to source high-performance materials and components
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred) with 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record of developing complex mechanical systems under tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA methodologies
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects and managing technical documentation
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining, welding)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical failures
