Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for aerospace components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications for production partners
- Prototype testing and validation in laboratory and real-world environments
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize material selection and cost efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of aerospace or defense industry experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, CATIA)
- Strong understanding of ASME standards and FAA regulations
- Proven track record in thermal and structural analysis
- Experience with additive manufacturing processes
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
