Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of complex mechanical systems using CAD tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to optimize product performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM principles are implemented
- Manage project timelines and deliverables using Agile methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging materials and technologies for product innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, NX)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal)
- Experience with automotive or aerospace industry standards
- Proven project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
