Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of complex mechanical systems and components from concept through production.
- Conduct advanced finite element analysis (FEA), CFD, and other simulation techniques to optimize designs for performance, reliability, and cost.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and technical deliverables, ensuring adherence to specifications and industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, analyze results, and implement design modifications based on data-driven insights.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and best practices in mechanical engineering to drive innovation within the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably in a fast-paced R&D or product development environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) and FEA software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Demonstrated experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
