Responsibilities
- Design and optimize aerospace mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools
- Lead prototype development through rapid iteration cycles
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for structural validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on production feasibility
- Manage project timelines and technical documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of aerospace or high-volume manufacturing experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME standards
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Proven project leadership in cross-functional environments
- Active PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
