Responsibilities
- Design and optimize mechanical systems using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Lead product development lifecycle from concept to prototyping
- Perform FEA/thermal analysis to validate designs
- Collaborate with R&D teams on material science innovations
- Manage BOM creation and cost-reduction initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and FEA tools
- Experience with additive manufacturing and DFM principles
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Proven track record in aerospace or automotive sectors
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
