Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of automotive components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Develop and validate prototypes through rapid prototyping and FEA simulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) on integrated system design
- Optimize product performance through material selection and manufacturing process refinement
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation including CAD drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Drive innovation in lightweighting and thermal management systems
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD)
- Advanced knowledge of FEA/CFD analysis (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong background in automotive manufacturing processes
- Proven project leadership with complex system integration
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with DOE and statistical analysis methods
