Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual design and prototyping of mechanical systems using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for product validation
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test protocols
- Collaborate with R&D teams to optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency
- Manage project timelines and deliverables using Agile methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in product design and development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with automotive/aerospace industry standards (SAE/AS9100)
- Proven track record of leading complex mechanical projects from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
