Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical product development from concept to production
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations and optimize designs using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Design and validate complex assemblies with tolerance analysis and prototype testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software systems
- Develop detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and test reports
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with ASME standards and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CAD/CAM tools
- Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
- Experience with DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic troubleshooting approach
