Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual design and prototyping of advanced mechanical systems for aerospace applications
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations using ANSYS and SolidWorks
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications for production teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless project integration
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Research and implement innovative materials and manufacturing processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with aerospace or high-tech industry
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME standards, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record leading complex mechanical projects from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to optimize for performance, cost, and manufacturability
