Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design lifecycle of complex mechanical systems using CAD/CAM tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling to optimize product performance
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system architectures
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure quality standards
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques to drive innovation
- Validate prototypes through rigorous testing and iterate designs based on results
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in product design and mechanical systems development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong background in manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining)
- Proven track record of bringing complex products from concept to production
- Experience with ISO 9001 and DFMEA methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder alignment
