Responsibilities
- Lead Design Initiatives: Oversee the mechanical design and development of complex machinery and automated systems from concept through to production.
- Simulation & Analysis: Utilize FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools to validate designs, ensuring structural integrity and thermal performance.
- Prototyping & Testing: Develop functional prototypes, conduct rigorous testing, and iterate on designs based on empirical data and stakeholder feedback.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, providing technical mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM) and safety regulations.
- Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or MSME required).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics, automation, or manufacturing industry.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), material science, and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding, 3D Printing).
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide innovative solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
