Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects for automotive components using CAD/CAE tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and CFD simulations to validate performance
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to develop and test physical models
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design processes
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in automotive mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CATIA
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in product lifecycle management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
- Experience with electric vehicle powertrain systems
