Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process from concept through to production, utilizing CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Perform detailed stress analysis, thermal analysis, and dynamic simulations to ensure product integrity and safety.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers to integrate complex systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and design specifications.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes to identify design flaws and optimize performance.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials science advancements, and regulatory compliance standards (ISO, ASME).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proven proficiency with 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA) and FEA/CFD analysis tools (ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
