Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the next generation of product development at Apex Precision Engineering. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
- Conduct rigorous testing, prototyping, and validation (DFM/DFA) to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Create detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation, including precise GD&T specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal analysis to predict product behavior under stress.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables within the constraints of budget and scope.
- Stay abreast of emerging engineering technologies and manufacturing trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Strong understanding of GD&T standards and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, etc.).
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
